Greg Strobel: High Percentage Turks
with Greg Strobel,
former Lehigh University Head Coach;
2004 NWCA "Coach of the Year,"
2000 US Olympic Coach

Coach Strobel is the master when it comes to the turk technique. In this demonstration clinic presentation, Strobel presents his repertoire of tricks and turns for the near leg and bottom leg turk. For each technique, Strobel shows the proper grip, positioning and proper execution of the move depending on how the opponent reacts. In all, there are over 20 different turns demonstrated. In accordance to his philosophy, these techniques are high percentage moves - which means they will work over 90% of the time. These turks are appropriate for any level wrestler, at any weight. In addition, these techniques can be used in freestyle competition as well. As a bonus, Strobel covers seven different counters to leg riding.

Tim Cysewski: Seatbelt Series
with Tim Cysewski,
Northwestern University Head Coach;
2008 USA Wrestling FILA Junior/University Person of the Year;
5X Midlands Champion, Midlands Wrestling Hall of Fame

The Seatbelt Series is unique because it can be used as a defense or offense attack, and can easily flow from a 2-point takedown to a pin. Coach Cysewski developed the series wrestling former teammate at the University of Iowa, Chuck Yagla (a two-time NCAA Champion and 1980 Olympian). Cysewski demonstrates step-by-step the proper positioning, set-up and key teaching points on how to properly hit the move starting from a single leg attack. From there he covers using the seatbelt from double leg attacks, the referee's position and other various positions. He also shows defense and counters to the move. This "old-school" move is simple and safe to use and will lead to bi points for your wrestlers.

with Rob Koll,
Cornell University Head Coach;
2005 NWCA Division I Coach of the Year;
2X World Cup Champion,
NCAA Champ and 4X All-American

Rob Koll delves into the lost art of the whizzer with an in-depth technique DVD. The whizzer is a potent point-scoring move that can be used offensively and defensively. Koll begins with a number of drills that teach and reinforce the proper technique. He covers defensive technique for the whizzer to counter attacks below the knee (singles), doubles, high crotches and attacks above the knee. He teaches what to do if the opponent steps over the whizzer, how to defend against a whizzer, throws off a whizzer and more. The whizzer is a great equalizer, easy to learn, and appropriate for any level of wrestling.

Championship Signature Move Series
Ben Askren: 5-Point Reversals
with Ben Askren,
2X NCAA Champ
and 2X Dan Hodge Trophy winner
from the University of Missouri

During his junior and senior year, none of Ben Askren's opponent's wanted to ride him. They chose the lesser of two evils and let him up for fear of getting thrown to their back for a 5-point move by one of his unique escapes. Now, Askren opens his `bag of tricks' and presents a number of creative techniques to add to your bottom position arsenal. He begins with his favorite escapes - the tripod. He details the proper position and demonstrates five different escapes. Askren teaches his elevator escape, which is good against an opponent who wants to chop the arm and also, how to escape from the crab ride, from leg defense, how to escape when the opponent hooks your ankle, plus, how to get away once you get to your feet; instead of a traditional 1-point escape, let Ben Askren show you how to get the fall!

Championship Signature Move Series
Ben Askren: Finishing Leg Attacks
with Ben Askren,
2X NCAA Champ
and 2X Dan Hodge Trophy winner
from the University of Missouri

Two-Time NCAA Champion Ben Askren gives you a new perspective on finishing leg attacks. These finishes are effective because they will keep your opponent off balance and stop them from getting to their counters. The techniques he presents work especially well for those wrestlers who don't have that "explosive" burst when attacking, or for those times when you get stopped in the middle of your takedown attempt. He begins by showing you his keys to proper positioning for finishing a takedown. He then covers single leg and high crotch finishes, as well as finishes for when you get stuck underneath on a takedown attempt and techniques versus a sprawl and a crack back. Included are the dump, step and trip, leg high and his original "nerksa" finish! These finishes allow you to score two - or go for the fall.
