Drills that teach specific skills and provide for a quick transfer of learning to actual dives are outlined and demonstrated by elite-level divers. These drills help teach skills such as the forward hurdle, backward press, take-off, come-out, and entry. Drills used here are ones divers can perform without the aid of special equipment.

"It is essential to understand what it takes to think and act like a champion diver . there is quite a difference between wanting to be a champion vs. the commitment it takes in and out of the pool to become a champion." - Dr. Jeff Huber

To compete at the highest level a diver must maximize mental and emotional ability as well as physical ability. Huber shares the attributes and behaviors for "Becoming a Champion." Huber's in-the-pool commitment includes mental, emotional and physical strategies and shares basic and advanced tools for how to listen, process, react and learn from the ongoing feedback your coach provides to maximize each practice. Commitment outside of the pool is just as important for athletes. This includes physical commitment to strength and conditioning and mental commitment that reflects on practice and prepares a positive mindset for the next practice. A list of 10 "Characteristics of Champions" serves as a great conclusion to this outstanding DVD!
