Dennis Creehan: Pro Wing-T 2-Pack
FD-03165A: with Dennis Creehan,
West Virginia Wesleyan College Head Coach;
former Calgary Stampeders (CFL) Defensive Coordinator;
30 year professional and collegiate coach

In this instructional football DVD, Dennis Creehan shows you how to "modernize" the Wing-T offense by running it out of a pro set.

Creehan highlights the many benefits of the versatile Pro Wing-T Offense including the ability to attack the defense at multiple points from the same formation. Play action passing is the catalyst of Creehan's offense, which makes the Wing-T a great passing offense and provides good run/pass balance. Each play can be run with and without motion. Creehan diagrams the Sweep Series and the Belly Series out of the pro set and includes counters, waggles, option game, draw plays and many more options for each series.

With Coach Creehan's instruction, you can build a Wing-T offensive attack that balances passing and running from flank-to-flank.

78 minutes. 2008.

FD-03165B: with Dennis Creehan,
West Virginia Wesleyan College Head Coach;
former Calgary Stampeders (CFL) Defensive Coordinator;
30 year professional and collegiate coach

Dennis Creehan, using detailed marker board instruction, describes the Pro 100 and its basic formation in the Wing-T.

The Pro 100 allows you to place your wingback, tailback and end in multiple positions and provides a four wide-out look for success against any defense. In addition, he shows protection rules and specific roles for the center, tackles and guards.

Creehan's route package is interwoven with one scheme related directly to the next. The curl, stick, Texas, and sail routes give three distinct looks as each flows into the other. Five curl, three stick, two Texas, and two sail routes gives you the template for an explosive and versatile passing attack. Creehan includes four vertical routes that provide seven additional options.

When mixed with the run game, the Wing-T gives scoring options equal to any offense in today's game.

Dennis Creehan's Attacking with the Wing-T Series
FD-01571A: with Dennis Creehan,
West Virginia Wesleyan College Head Coach;
former Calgary Stampeders (CFL) Defensive Coordinator

Coach Creehan continues his string of excellent Wing-T videos with this discussion on how to beat the 5-3. The key to beating the 5-3 defense, according to Creehan, is spreading out the defense with open formations. Five pass plays are shown along with 14 running plays including an option and inside and outside counters. The 14 plays are shown in both belly and buck option series. Every play looks alike, making it difficult for the defense to read. Also, every play covers both sides of the defense from flank to flank.

This video will also help you chew up the Bear, Double Eagle, and 46 defenses, which are variations of the 5-3 defense.

58 minutes. 2001.

FD-01571B: with Dennis Creehan,
West Virginia Wesleyan College Head Coach;
former Calgary Stampeders (CFL) Defensive Coordinator

Coach Creehan discusses how to attack the 4-3 defense with the Wing T. Schemes covered include running towards the tight end/wing back side with and without motion, away from the tight end/ wing back side with motion, from a slot formation to the splint end side with and with out motion, and from the slot formation away from the split end side with motion. More than 40 plays are diagrammed. In addition Creehan discusses how to develop a game plan involving breaking down game tape, evaluating personnel and formulating a specific plan for each opponent.

87 minutes. 2001.

FD-01571C: with Dennis Creehan,
West Virginia Wesleyan College Head Coach;
former Calgary Stampeders (CFL) Defensive Coordinator

Coach Creehan discusses how to attack the 4-4 defense with the Wing T going towards and away from the tight end/wing backside with and without motion and also from a slot formation. More than 40 plays are diagrammed including inside running plays, traps, sweeps, options, counter plays and play action passes that will provide a complete package to attack the 4-4 from flank to flank.

93 minutes. 2001.

FD-01571D: with Dennis Creehan,
West Virginia Wesleyan College Head Coach;
former Calgary Stampeders (CFL) Defensive Coordinator

Coach Creehan discusses how to attack the 5-2 defense (7 in the box with 4 in the secondary) with the Wing T. Plays are run towards and away from the tight end/wingback side with and without motion in addition to the slot formation. Included are inside running plays, sweeps, options and counter plays in addition to play action passes. Cover: installing the spinner s'wing-t offense
Installing the Spinner S'Wing-T Offense
with Lew Johnston,
Western Branch HS (VA) Head Coach,
5x District Champions, 4x District "Coach of the Year"

Coach Johnston shares his secrets to implementing an effective Spinning Single Wing-T offense - a package he's dubbed the Spinner S'Wing-T - that can be easily installed at the youth, middle school or high school level. With the Wing-T offense as its foundation, the Spinner S'wing-T offers motion and misdirection that are critical to moving the ball into the end zone. Johnston covers the basics of installing the Spinner S'Wing-T including formations, blocking rules, numbering systems and cadence. In addition, Johnston shares six core plays that helped his team average 34 points a game in 2008 - while playing only 8 minute quarters. One of the biggest advantages of the Spinner S'Wing-T is its flexibility. Johnston shows how it can be used as your base offense and how it can be easily installed as a change-up package similar to what many college and NFL teams are using now. Offering game strategies, Johnston shows how to attack defenses and make the changes necessary during the game to counteract defensive adjustments. This is a no huddle "fast break" offense designed to keep defenses confused and frustrated.

Spinner S'Wing-T Offense: Running Game
with Lew Johnston,
Western Branch HS (VA) Head Coach,
5x District Champions, 4x District "Coach of the Year"

Coach Johnston shares his running game from within the Spinner S'Wing-T offense. Johnston covers a total of eight plays that will help you advance the ball against both even and odd fronts. The 41 Sweep, for example, is the play that starts the whole Spinner S'Wing-T offense. Johnston starts every game by running the 41 Sweep and it never fails to mislead opponents and gain valuable yardage. Many times, this play secures a touchdown within the first possession and sets the tone for the rest of the game. In addition, the 32 Jersey Mouse play is a creative quarterback trap that is particularly effective inside the red zone against a reactive defense. Johnston goes through all eight plays in detail to cover each position's responsibilities and identify areas that may need special attention to ensure success. He reinforces these concepts with extensive game footage that will help you see every angle of the Spinner S'Wing-T and successfully include it in your program.

72 minutes. 2009.
