Offensive Line: Power Play Run Game Strategies
with Bob Bostad,
University of Wisconsin Offensive Line Coach

Get a detailed diagramming and film study and essential techniques and assignments for one of Wisconsin's top run plays and it's compliment. Using these run plays, the Badgers led the Big 10 in rushing in 2009, averaging over 203 yards a game.

Bob Bostad provides a detailed breakdown of the Power Play (a strong side run) and its compliment the weak side lead, a zone run. These two plays are staples in the Wisconsin offense and will work in all areas of the field - red zone, backed up, midfield, short yards, etc.

Coach Bosard diagrams the assignments for each member of the offense, including the base blocking assignments and footwork for the line and reads and footwork for the tailback. Also featured is the key technique for making the runs work - the down block.

Bosard guides you through extensive game film study, showing the plays versus various formations and movements. He highlights the key coaching points for each, making it easier for you to incorporate these run plays into your offense.

Get the schemes and techniques you need to run the football this season.

Multi-Formation Offense: Running Game
Sonny Karas,
Spring (TX) High School Head Coach,
over 100 career victories, Greater Houston 5A Coach of the Year, 2002, 2003 & 2004 State Playoffs;
Coached five of his players to Texas Offensive Player of the Year honors

Join Texas' Spring High School Head Coach Sonny Karas and his offensive coordinator as they lead you through their elements of a running game that has helped lead the Spring High School offense to a top 10 ranking in the greater Houston area for 10 consecutive years. Coach Karas shares with you three basic running plays, starting with his A-gap tight zone play. This tight zone play can also be turned into an option as well. As defenses adjust to the tight zone, Karas instructs you to switch to the C-gap wide zone play. In this play, the running back will cross the quarterback and read the outside defender and decide to "bang" straight up or "bounce" to the outside. Karas also shares an option variation, including a quarterback read version of this play. The last play that Karas covers is his 36 Dart play. In this play, the weakside tackle pulls and becomes a lead blocker for the running back. Karas diagrams variations and blocking assignments on a white board for all three plays and also includes game footage that demonstrates the alternatives of each play.

Power I Set: Power Running Game
with Bill Dee,
Former Phoebus (Hampton, VA) High School Head Coach;
4 State Championships in eight years;
Current Christopher Newport College Defensive Line Coach; won over 240 games at Phoebus

You don't need a huge line and a stud running back to be successful in the power running game! Bill Dee and Phoebus High School football have perfected the power running game. In 2008 his team averaged over 40 points per game, had a 15-0 record finishing the season ranked 3rd in the USA Today Top 25. They accomplished all of this while primarily running the football.

In this football offense DVD, Dee details his 10 keys to the power running game. He talks in-depth about the misconceptions of the power running game and how to use these misconceptions to your advantage. He diagrams how to effectively run ISO, ISO goal line, Counter and power plays, as well as the dumbo technique and hippo formation plays and includes video footage to further teach and show the effectiveness of these plays.

Power/Zone Running Game
with Tim Salem,
University of Central Florida Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs;
coach of Kevin Smith, the 2007 NCAA Rushing Leader and 2007 NCAA Individual Scoring Leader

UCF's potent running attack produced Kevin Smith, the leading rusher in all of college football in 2007 with an astounding 2,567 yards. Coach Salem spends over half of this DVD breaking down video of his zone play. In addition, he diagrams the play, discusses the tempo of the play and blocks, techniques for the running back, techniques & assignments for the offensive line, and the overall mechanics of the play. The key to success in Salem's eyes is blocking the backside of the play. Salem shares his favorite running back drill. The drill teaches running backs how to pick a hole and cut upfield. Salem believes that a few good drills are better than a long list of drills for consistency and teaching quality. In conclusion, game footage is shown to reinforce the philosophy and teaching points of the power/zone running game. Let Tim Salem show you how to create a potent running play for your offense.
